District staff receives MEF mini-grants

The McMinnville Education Foundation (MEF) has announced its annual mini-grant recipients with more than $18,000 in 30 projects funded.

Teachers and staff at all levels were allowed to request grant funds up to $1,000 to supplement classroom activities and opportunities such as field trips, classroom equipment, science, arts and more.

The winners and projects will be celebrated at a dessert reception on Wednesday, December 4 at 7 p.m. in the McMinnville Grand Ballroom. All are welcome to attend.

Grant projects and grant writers include:

Digi Blocks Knock Our Math Noggins Right Off!?; 2nd grade teachers (Julie McAnally, Malinda Asada, Tammie Snyder), 3rd grade teachers (Jennifer Allen, Nancy Vezinet, Laura Hyman), 4th grade teachers (Anna Houchin, Terri Mollier, Angelica Chambers) and 5th grade teachers (Carrie Munger, Anne Massey, Sarah Banbury); Buel; ($250 per grade level)
