Online Learning Option
The McMinnville School District (MSD) will offer an Elementary Online Learning (EOL) option at least through the first two quarters of the school year (until Feb. 4, 2022).

Each class will have an assigned teacher who provides continuous, high-quality, standards-based instruction to advance learning for students who are unable to return to in person instruction.

EOL is a combination of synchronous (teacher led) and asynchronous (student applied learning) lessons through Google classroom that can be accessed through a Chromebook checked out from the district.

Weekly instructional guides will be posted within the Google classroom to communicate the learning tasks and assignments for the week. The EOL student’s instructional day is thoughtfully planned to include asynchronous instruction, which includes independent work, paper correspondence, use of online tools, instructional strategies and group work.

Instructional time must be part teacher-facilitated (learning experience planned and guided by a licensed teacher) and part applied learning (learning experiences that allow for students to apply knowledge and skills that extend from the teacher-facilitated learning).

Children must be registered as an MSD student to participate in the EOL option. Families can find out more information about EOL from their home school and register online. Families that register online will be contacted by the school to communicate the details and expectations of EOL. Once enrolled, families will be notified of start dates, schedules and other needed information.
