Public Safety


McMinnville School District's Public Safety department is headed by former Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree. The department oversees fire and earthquake drills, campus security, building safety audits, and staff and student training such as Run, Hide, Fight.

The district staff also provides ongoing education for staff to effectively recognize and respond to student health, safety and wellness issues. Click here to access our Parent Information Center and view the Child Abuse Reporting training district staff receives.

Additionally, every school has a certified First Aid/CPR provider and several schools have staff who have completed the Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) training.

The department also oversees student training in Internet safety and anti-bullying.
